Most visitors to Sanur walk the beachfront and never see the rice fields a few streets inland. There is a paved, flat loop through the fields behind Jalan Batur Sari, close to our spa. It is quiet, green and easy to walk in normal shoes, and it makes a calm alternative when the beach path is busy.
What to expect
The path is paved and flat, so it suits most walkers and is easier than a dirt track. The fields open up between houses, so you get a wide, green view in the middle of town.
It is a working agricultural area, so what you see changes with the season: flooded plots, young green rice, or fields being prepared. Keep to the path and do not walk into the fields.
When to go
Early morning is coolest and the light is soft. Late afternoon is also pleasant, but check the sunset time so you are not walking in the dark. Midday is hot, so bring water and a hat.
How to find it
Start at Sari Day Spa on Jalan Batur Sari and ask any of our team to point you to the path. The loop is close by. Use Google Maps on your phone to follow it, and stay on the paved sections.
Walk, then unwind
After the walk, a foot massage or reflexology is a good way to finish. Message us on WhatsApp with your preferred time and we will tell you what is available.
Conditions change with the farming season, so check on the day and stay on the path. Please respect the farmers' land.
