A good haircut starts before the scissors. At Sari Hair Salon every cut begins with a shampoo and conditioner, so your stylist cuts clean, relaxed hair and can see how it really falls. From there, it is a conversation: how much length do you want to keep, how do you usually style it, and what is bothering you about it right now.
We are a hair salon inside a day spa on Jalan Batur Sari, so the pace is calm and the setting is more spa than salon floor.

Hair and the tropics
Hair behaves differently in Bali. Humidity makes it frizz or swell, salt water dries it out, chlorine and sun fade colour and strip moisture, and a few weeks of travel often leave ends dry and split. A trim removes the damaged ends and makes hair easier to manage in the heat. If you have long hair, a few centimetres off the ends can make a big difference to how it dries and styles in the climate.
If your hair feels dry or rough rather than just long, consider adding a hair mask or the 75-minute hair & scalp treatment, a creambath-style service with a scalp, neck and shoulder massage, before or after your cut.
How to get the cut you want
Bring a photo of the style you like, ideally from a few angles, and photos of what you do not like too. Tell the stylist how much length you want to keep and how you usually dry or style your hair. If you are unsure, ask for a trim and shape refresh rather than a big change. If you are travelling and will be styling it yourself with limited tools, say so.
Useful phrases in Indonesian: 'potong rambut' (haircut), 'rapikan saja' (just tidy it up), 'sedikit saja' (just a little), 'panjangnya jangan dipotong banyak' (don't cut much length).
Kids and family cuts
Families often book a few cuts together. Message us the ages and number of people and we will line up appointments, and children under 12 pay the kids price of IDR 150K. For a family day out, our Kids' Spa menu has gentle treatments just for children.
When to get a haircut in Sanur
Many guests book a cut at the start of a trip for a fresh look, before a wedding or photoshoot, in the middle of a long stay when ends need tidying, or just before heading home. Walk-ins are welcome, but if you want a specific time or a group of people booked together, message us on WhatsApp first.
